Vulnerability and Photography With Rachael Talibart

I was introduced to Rachael Talibart through a discussion when the Clubhouse frenzy was just getting started. As I jumped into a room and got on stage, I noticed that Rachael was a moderator for the room. As I listened to her eloquently discuss her approach to seascape photography, I knew she would be a perfect fit for The Landscape Photography Show. Rachael is talented, witty, and is quick on her toes to answer difficult questions (which is fun for me as an interviewer.)

It pleased me greatly that Rachael obliged to schedule an interview and chat about her journey and approach to photography.

In our discussion, Rachael and I begin with her interesting journey into photography and her healthy obsession with the sea, even though she gets terribly sea sick. Photographers always have a special place to capture in their work. It’s easy to see that Rachael’s special place is standing on the shore watching the ocean.

We also discuss the current influx of vulnerability that has organically occurred coming out of the pandemic. We all know the pandemic had negative impacts, however, what is going to happen coming out of it? It’s already clear that the new form of communication is vulnerability, empathy, and posting about what makes you happy which Rachael talks about… not to mention all of those things are a breath of fresh air.
