Martin Gonzalez reached out to me on Instagram to pitch this idea of a podcast discussion. Now, whenever someone does this, I usually ask what they have in mind to talk about. Martin’s answer was a familiar one to my story. He loves photography and was experiencing some apathy in his everyday job. Is photography something he could be interested in doing?

When we jumped on the call, I could tell this was going to be enlightening for everyone involved. I think this conversation goes way deeper than what Martin wants to do with his photography. This also has a lot to do with all of the photographers listening who run workshops. What do I mean? Well, we talk about a workshop that Martin took that enlightened him to a deeper level of creativity and the teaching approach that led him there. If that isn’t a sell to listen, I don’t know what could be.
