That Time I Almost Fought an Elk
In May of 2016, I went to Grand Tetons National Park to host a photography workshop. The Tetons are truly an amazing place to take photos as almost every national park is, but there was something different about the Tetons.
Maybe it was the amazing sunrises we saw, the bison, or even the best pizza I've ever had at the Snake River Brewery.
That's right. Little did I know that right before I took the photograph below, I was on a head-on collision with a fully grown elk.
I don't know if you've ever had an interaction with a large beast that barreling down at you, but it's not an enjoyable experience.
In fact, I'm surprised that the photo was even good because of the trauma that had just occurred.
Immagine that. Death by elk trampling.
If you want to hear the full story, you know, more about my elk altercation, I shared the entire story on my podcast, Stories About Photos.
